Knihu Mia Sheridan Archer's Voice (Ikar, 2025) hodnotím 5*/5*. Príbeh sleduje Bree, ktorá utečie za pokojom do mestečka Pelion, kde stretáva tajomného a mlčanlivého Archera; obaja nesú ťažké traumy, no láska ich postupne učí znova otvoriť životu. Kniha ma zaujala vizuálom a prečítala som ju na jedno otvorenie, pričom oceňujem, že traumám postáv sa venuje vážne a ich správanie je opodstatnené; Archerova odlúčenosť a postihnutie ho robia sympatickým a originálnym. Záver je síce ideálizovaný, ale uspokojivý; jedinú výtku mám k zbytočnému epilógu.

Príbeh, rozprávaný striedavo Bree a Archerom, sa sústreďuje na témy traumy, straty a uzdravenia a ukazuje, ako si dvaja zlomení ľudia navzájom nachádzajú útechu a silu. Autorka vyniká vo vykreslení vnútorného života postáv a zdôrazňuje dôležitosť komunikácie a empatie, keďže vzťah nevzniká na okamžitej príťažlivosti, ale na porozumení. Román je silne emotívny, často dojemný, a slovenské vydanie (Ikar, 2025) obsahuje rozšírený epilóg.
