K prípadu sa vracajú agent Europolu Mark Hess a bývalá vyšetrovateľka Naia Thulin, pričom vyšetrovaniu dominuje systematické a logické pátranie vedúce k starej nevyriešenej vražde a spojitostiam s minulosťou. Recenzentka oceňuje, že autor sa nevymyká klasickej severskej šablóne, píše pútavo s dobre načasovanými odhaleniami a hodnotí knihu 4,5/5, jedinou výhradou je pomalšie tempo vydávania dielov.
