Recenze hodnotí čtvrtý díl série Zlatá klec od Raven Kennedy: hlavní hrdinka Auren povstala z popela, unikla ze zlaté klece a čelí pomstě ostatních panovníků, přičemž má na straně krále Sladea. Kniha rozšiřuje počet pohledů (přibyl hlas královny Kalie, Orisse a Rissy) a obsahuje flashbacky i Sladeovu minulost, což podle recenzentky místy vytváří guláš. Auren je přibližně třetinu knihy v bezvědomí, děj se opakovaně vrací k jejím a Sladeovým úvahám a k tréninku s erotickými scénami, takže by podle recenzentky kniha snesla zkrácení; závěr pak přináší šokující zlom. Recenzentka přiznává, že čte sérii hlavně kvůli Sladeovi, dává dílu 3 hvězdičky, je zvědavá na pokračování a děkuje nakladatelství Baronet za recenzní výtisk.

Po bouřlivém konci třetího dílu jsem pokračování přečetla v angličtině, ale kniha mi přišla příliš natahovaná a četla jsem ji s přestávkami skoro měsíc. Autorka přidala mnoho nových pohledů (královna Kalie, Oriss, Rissa) a flashbacků, což vytvořilo dost zmatečný guláš a ubíralo příběhu jiskru. Třetinu knihy je hlavní hrdinka v bezvědomí, děj se často opakuje (trénink, introspekce, sex) a podle mě by se kniha dala smrsknout na polovinu, přestože závěrečný zlom šokuje a nutí čekat pokračování. Z postav vyčníhá Slade, ostatní mě bavili méně, nábožensky fanatický závěr mě podráždil a celkové hodnocení je 3 hvězdičky.
