Behind the Net je prvý diel romantickej série, v ktorom sa drobná Pippa ocitne na prahu života Jamieho, aby sa starala o sučku Daisy, a medzi bývalou speváckou celebritou a ambicióznym hokejovým brankárom sa rozvíja vzájomná príťažlivosť. Kapitoly sú písané z pohľadu oboch hrdinov, sú veľmi krátke a kniha sa číta rýchlo; ide o striedanie pohľadov v rámci ľahkej erotickej romancie plnej známych klišé. Recenzentka ocenila hokejové prostredie a fakt, že problémy postáv neťažia čítanie, hoci jej vadila Pippina spevácka linka; výsledné hodnotenie je 3*/5* a kniha sa jej zdala ideálna ako dovolenková oddychovka.
