Úloha hlavnej hrdinky bola jednoduchá: vkradnúť sa do najstráženejšieho sídla v Potomacu a získať späť prívesok po zosnulom otcovi, no prichytil ju miliardár Zachary Sun, ktorý ju drží ako slúžku a hračku. Pod rovnošatou tejto drzej pomocníčky sa však skrýva hráčka; je rovnocenným protivníkom, čo odštartuje šialenú romantickú drámu a moderné spracovanie motívu Popolušky.
