Recenzentka chváli bohatú svetotvorbu a doplnky ako mapu, rodokmeň, slovník, prehľad postáv a vizuál. Zároveň však upozorňuje, že deju chýba jasný ťah, kniha pôsobí, akoby začínala uprostred série, a preto je pre ňu pomalá, mätúca a nevhodná ako úvodný diel.
