Príbeh sleduje Hanu postavenú pred ťažké morálne dilemy a dvojtvárnu Lady Mariannu Mayfieldovú, pričom atmosféra s gotickým nádychom a plastické silné postavy pripomínajú Austenovú či Brontëové; intímne scény sú vkusné a kniha nesie posolstvo o odpustení a milosti. Recenzentka knihu nedokázala pustiť z rúk, dokonca autorke napísala ďakovný e‑mail a veľmi by privítala pokračovanie, preto ju vrelo odporúča.
