Dokonalý zločin od Helen Fields je piaty diel dokonalej krimi série s detektívmi Lucom Callanachom a Avou Turnerovou, v ktorom sa vyšetrovatelia zaoberajú sériou starostlivo zinscenovaných samovrážd. Pátranie odhalí, že za týmito činmi stojí sériový vrah schopný dokonale nahradiť scény vyzerajúce ako samovraždy, čo vedie k akčnému, rýchlemu a mimoriadne prekvapivému vyšetrovaniu s riskantnými opatreniami a jedným členom tímu na hrane života. Recenzentka vyzdvihuje napäté rozuzlenie a dôležitú úlohu novinára Lancea Proudfoota, no zároveň upozorňuje, že medzi hrdinami sa vytvorila medzera — ich vzťah ochladol a záver naznačuje, že Ava bude v ďalšom diele dočasne prevelená do Interpolu, čo môže ovplyvniť dynamiku série.
